Hospital Architecture Laboratory’s main area of research is suggestion about the direction of the development of medical and welfare facilities through the architectural design and planning of national and public healthcare facilities, And we research the environmental improvement elderly medical facilities with developing the design techniques, We also suggest about the strategies of remodeling plan of the medical facilities with design techniques.
병원건축 연구실의 주요 연구분야는 국,공립 의료시설의 설계 및 건축계획을 통한 의료복지시설의 발전 방향 제시, 노인 의료시설의 환경개선방안 연구 및 설계기법 개발, 의료 시설 리모델링 전략방안 및 설계기법 개발이다.
1993년 3월 개설하여 현재까지 의료시설과 관련되 27건의 건축설계 수행, 25건의 학술연구 수행, 학술연구논문 57편, 학술발표 28회 등을 수행하였으며 병원건축계획 분야 박사 3명, 석사 31명을 배출하였다.

“Architectural Space Analysis Laboratory” members have been making effort recently in a sense that architecture and its space has inseparable relation with the city. This laboratory was established in 1997. and has provided many brilliant students with Master’s and Doctor’s degree. Also this lab in the present has 4 members (Mina Kim, YooKyung Kim, WoonJin Um, YoonSun Jang) in the doctor’s course, and 1 member in the master’s course (JungHee Yoon).

UDIL is a specialized research environment focusing on urban and regional design, planning, data management and other city scale issues. The lab provides an interdisciplinary research environment to resolve complicate urban problems with an emphasis on empirical evidences, data analysis, visualization, and design implementations.
도시설계정보연구실은 최근 복잡해지고 있는 다양한 도시문제를 실증적 관점에서 접근하여 도시설계/도시계획 과정에서 보다 효과적인 의사결정 내릴 수 있는 다학제적 연구 환경을 지향한다. 도시가 갖고 있는 다양성과 불확실성에 보다 합리적이고 구체적인 디자인 프로세스를 제공하기 위해 데이터 분석, 통계학적 접근, 정보시스템 활용, 도시경영 및 관리 등과 같은 방법론적 측면을 실제 프로젝트와 연계하는 교육 및 연구 환경을 제공하는데 목적이 있다.
